Mossley played local rivals Radcliffe Borough in the first ever floodlit game in the NPL Academy League and it proved to be a great match at Seel Park.

Mossley went straight into the led early on when a brilliant ball over the top from Beckham Adelaje found Connor Yeoman who put in under the keeper to make it 1-0.

Soon after Prince Owusu made it 2-0 with a brilliant low finish after a great ball from Declan Lewis .

Before the end of the half Owusu made it 3-0 with his second goal of the night placing the ball in the bottom conner.

The second half saw Mossley make five changes and Radcliffe hit back after a low finish by Hargreaves made it 3-1 and then soon after Mossley captain Norris fouled the Radcliffe striker inside the box resulting in a penalty to Radcliffe and Adam Leach powered home from the spot to make it 3-2.

Soon after a speculative long range shot by Brandon Gould bounced before Hassan Sattar and the ball went over him as Radcliffe made it 3-3.

Mossley soon replied when Antonio Din Chin found the bottom comer with a low finish to make it 4-3 and then Prince Owusu finally got his hat trick when his solo effort went in to make it 5-3 and a first win for the academy in 2016 to end a 6 game winless run.
